The 2009 Bimini exhibition was a great success, with well over 100 visitors in attendance, including several of the local dignitaries. The new paintings were well received by numerous wonderful comments. The bishop overseer of the Island, Bishop Benjamin Rolle, was asked to speak and he commented how much he liked the works and that the people of Bimini are very fortunate to have the opportunity to have such artworks exhibited right here on the Island.
The Ministry of Tourism representative in Bimini, Mr. Charles Robins, was also in attendance and spoke briefly before presenting Norb Kox with a plaque from the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism acknowledging appreciation for contributions made toward the promotion of Bimini through artistic expression.
Kox is now back in New Franken working on a book about all his Bimini paintings, and is also continuing to help teach the sculpture class at the University of Wisconsin in Green Bay.
